A man in his 25s was arrested on Wednesday evening in Agnesberg, northeast of Gothenburg, on suspicion of stabbing a man in his 70s.
The alarm about the stabbing in an apartment came just before 10 p.m.
– There were many witnesses at the scene and we managed to arrest the suspected perpetrator at 10.25 pm after he had forced his way into another apartment while fleeing, so he is now suspected of both attempted murder, vandalism and breach of domestic peace, says Morten Gunneng, officer on duty at the police .
– He was also very affected by drugs when he was arrested, says Gunneng.
The knife-cut man was taken to hospital by ambulance, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
