Man arrested for attempted arson in Huddinge

During the night, the police in Huddinge received a call that a man had run from a plot of land. The man left a backpack on the site and in it the police found flammable material.

A short time later, the police received an alert about a house fire nearby. The fire service extinguished the fire, which caused damage to the facade and roof. No one was injured.

Later, the police were able to arrest a man who is now suspected of attempted arson. Prosecutors have decided to arrest the man, on probable grounds suspected of crime.

The police are now investigating whether the man can be suspected of having started the fire that caused damage to the villa. An area near the villa has also been cordoned off.
