A chase followed criss-cross through Mijdrecht, according to the police at “very high speed”. The hunt for the stolen car came to an end when the driver wedged himself and slammed into a garage door. The suspect did not give in and tried to run away. He was tracked down with the help of a police helicopter. The man surrendered when the police threatened with an electric shock weapon. He has been arrested.
