Early Saturday, Chatham-Kent police officers were dispatched to a business on Queen Street in Chatham in response to a driver reportedly passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle.
Believed to be intoxicated, the 45-year-old Chatham man was arrested and taken to headquarters for breath tests, police said.
He reportedly registered breath samples exceeding the legal limit and was charged. He was later released from custody with a court date.
Breach of probation
On Friday afternoon, officers responded to a suspicious person complaint on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.
Investigation revealed the 39-year-old Chatham man was known to be subject to a condition for him not to attend the business, police said.
He was arrested for breach of probation, and upon being searched he was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. He was later released with a short date.
warrant arrest
Officers spotted a woman on Murray Street in Chatham on Friday morning who was known to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
The 26-year-old Chatham woman was arrested on the warrant, taken to headquarters and later released with a court date.
