Stolen vehicle investigation leads to arrest

A 57-year-old man is accused of driving his combine into a fence line and onto the properties of homeowners in connection to a property line dispute that has spanned five years, reports Chatham-Kent police.

The fence was knocked over on seven properties on Saturday and police said investigation has determined it was allegedly done intentionally.

The accused was located and arrested for seven counts of mischief and transported to police headquarters where he was later released with a June 22 court date.

Three people arrested in connection to fight

Three people were arrested in connection to a fight that occurred between a group of people on Saturday.

Chatham-Kent police were called to the residence regarding the incident.

Police said the information received included that a 37-year-old woman allegedly went to the residence with a knife and an argument took place inside.

The issue continued outside where it was reported that a 34-year-old Chatham man allegedly pointed a firearm at the female, police said.

The woman also reported being allegedly assaulted by a 35-year-old woman who was at the residence.

Police said all three accused were arrested and transported to police headquarters.

The two women were released with a June 15 court date and the male was held for bail hearing, police said.

Chatham woman facing assault charge

A 64-year-old Chatham woman is facing an assault charge in connection to a neighbor dispute on Saturday, reports Chatham-Kent police.

Police attended and the woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting her 70-year-old neighbour.

The accused was released with a June 10 court date, police said.
