A 21-year-old Brantford man is facing charges after police said they saw suspicious activity in a parking lot near Colborne Street and Park Avenue
On Feb. 15 at about 5:40 pm, police said they observed an exchange, believed to be a drug transaction, between two men, who were in adjacent vehicles.
As police entered the parking lot, one vehicles fled.
In the other vehicle, police said they saw cannabis readily available to the driver.
A search of the vehicle yielded 21.7 grams of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of $2,170, drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale and packaging material, and Canadian currency.
The man is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine and having care or control of vehicle with cannabis readily available.
