De Amersfoorter is a product of FC Utrecht’s youth academy. He played a total of 85 matches for Jong FC Utrecht. In addition to his defensive class, he was good for four goals and two assists. He produced two of those goals and assists last season, when he played a total of 28 games for the U21 team. Mamengi is a multiple Dutch youth international and played once in the main squad of the FC.
