Malmö’s turnaround – scored four straight goals in the third

HV71 really went for victory when André Petersson made it 4–1 with three minutes left in the second period.

But it was a new Malmö that came third.

MIF reduced after six minutes through Axel Sundberg and then again through Carl Persson.

Four straight goals

Finn Lassi Thomson scored his ninth goal to make it 4-4 with eight and a half minutes left on the clock and three minutes later Nikola Pasic stepped up.

The forward shot high with the right drawing circle and found the net behind Olof Glifford – who replaced Hugo Alnefelt earlier in the match – in the HV goal.

5-4 to Malmö – a result that stood the game out.

Banners against the ex-sports manager

The team is eighth in the series, while HV – who were up in the playoff spot when they led – are twelve.

Extra nice for Malmö, who had to see their sporting director Björn Liljander leave for HV71 in December.

Something the supporters expressed their anger about in the first period.

And after the game, the team’s forward William von Barnekow held up a banner with “Judas” written in large black letters.
