A family who bought a cottage through a Malmö broker was threatened by the broker after it was discovered that the bidding was fake, Sydsvenskan reports.
When the family noticed that the previous bidders had withdrawn their bids, before the buyers made their bids, they contacted the broker, who then threatened to make a report of concern to social services about their children.
The broker has been warned by the Real Estate Agency and must now pay damages of SEK 15,000 to the buyers. The current case concerned the sale of colonial cottages.
