In Malmö, people are tired of the electric scooter chaos. Since a week ago, there are two parking lots in the city center.
The plan is for there to be 100 when they from January 2024 become mandatory parking spaces for electric scooters and other smaller, electric rental vehicles.
Olof Rabe, development coordinator for mobility services, City of Malmö, talks about how the mandatory pastures will work, 2024.
– From a purely technical point of view, it should not be possible to end the journey anywhere other than in these pastures. The companies must ensure this with geofencing technology, as it is called, says Olof Rabe.
