She was supposed to test ride one of the association’s new horses, but a misjudgment at an obstacle led to her falling off. Malin Hansson doesn’t remember much of the incident until she was in the car on the way to the emergency room.
– I soon started to remember fragments of what had happened, but even today I don’t remember everything, says Malin Hansson.
“Was a big adjustment”
At the hospital, it was established that Malin had suffered a slight concussion. To recover, she would follow the brain ladder, which meant she would not be able to ride for several days.
– I ride every day, so it was a big change in my everyday life, explains Malin.
Wanted to return to the stable
Even so, she couldn’t stay completely away from the stable. When she felt a little better, she returned to go for walks with the horses.
– Horses are living creatures, they cannot just be put away until you are healthy.
Malin had no major problems with starting to ride again, but since this was her first concussion, she is now more aware and cautious.
– It is unpleasant not really knowing what has happened, she says.
