The intense negotiations on the withdrawal of the Minusma which continue. The mandate of the UN mission in the country expires this Friday. Initially scheduled for Thursday, the meeting of the Security Council to examine either the renewal of the mission, but the Malian request for its departure “without delay”, was postponed to Friday. Time to let the negotiations continue until the last minute. The fifteen members of the Security Council, including France, the United States, Russia and China, are trying to agree, among themselves and with Mali, on a resolution setting the duration and terms of the withdrawal of Minusma . But the points of negotiation are numerous, and as technical as political.
