In Mali, the teacher-researcher strike that started ten days ago on Monday, January 27, was extended by a week until Saturday, February 8. They claim their research bonus, promised since 2017, but never paid. No official statistics, neither unions, nor authorities, on the current strike, but the movement is very followed: most of the Malian universities and grandes écoles are largely affected, according to the testimonies collected by RFI. However, the transitional authorities remain perfectly silent, which only strengthens the determination of the strikers.
