Four Burkinabe students win first prize in ICC mock trial

Abdulaziz al-Hassan is charged with crimes against humanity and war crimes by the International Criminal Court (ICC). On trial for three years, he must answer for torture, persecution, forced marriages, rape and sexual slavery. The Malian was commissioner in the Islamic police of Timbuktu during the occupation by the jihadist groups AQIM and Ansar Dine, in 2012. The oral conclusions in this case are scheduled at the ICC from May 23 to 25, 2023.
