Police blotter Woman charged with assault public incitement of hatred

Brantford police are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in separate store robberies.

On Dec. 29, at about 6 pm, a man with a knife entered a Pearl Street store and demanded cash. He fled on foot after receiving cigarettes and cash.

Police said the store employee was not injured.

The suspect is described as white, in his 60s and between five-foot-10 and six feet in height. He was wearing a black balaclava, green hooded sweatshirt, grey/black two-tone jacket with a gray stripe, and brown shoes.

On Dec. 30, a Conklin Road store was robbed.

Police said they are looking for a white male, who was wearing a white face mask, black winter coat, black tuque and goggles and gray jeans.

The suspect was unsuccessful in his demand for cash but fled with cigarettes and merchandise, said police

The suspect was seen riding away on a bicycle headed toward Blackburn Driver.

Boy, 13, threatened with knife

A 13-year-old girls is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, assault with a weapon and possession of weapon for dangerous purpose after Brantford police called on Dec. 29 to Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Lynden Road.

Police said there was an altercation between a group of girls and a group of boys during which a 13-year-old boy was threatened with a pocket knife.

A suspect left the scene but was arrested nearby.

Boy, 15, charged

A 15-year-old boy is charged with possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose and being intoxicated in a public place after Brantford police were alerted on Dec. 27 to a person seen yelling and waving a machete while walking in the area of ​​Byrne Street .

Officers arrested the suspect at West Street and Morton Avenue.

Man faces drug loads

A 42-year-old Brantford man is facing charges after police received information that a suspect wanted for an aggravated assault was seen in a parking lot at West and Fairview streets on Dec. 22.

He is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and three counts each of break, enter a place – commit an indictable offense and possession of stolen goods under $5,000.

The man is charged with impaired operation, obstructing a peace officer, disobeying a court order, two counts of breach of probation and four counts of operation while prohibited.
