Makeup sponges, also known as beauty blender, have become true allies for sporting a perfect complexion. They allow you to blend foundation, apply concealer, blush, bronzer and even loose powder! In short, it is difficult to do without. While make-up experts advise to always dampen the sponge before using it, a new way to use it has just emerged on social networks. Freezing the makeup sponge 1 hour before using it would be the trick to obtaining a flawless complexion.
The power of cold
If this technique may seem strange, it is nevertheless logical when you know the benefits of cold on the skin with skin icing for example. It helps to tighten pores, unify and illuminate the complexion but above all to decongest the face. A real beauty gesture to adopt on a daily basis!
Simply immerse your sponge in water, wring it out and place it in the freezer for at least 1 hour. Then all you have to do is apply your foundation or BB cream as you wish. At first, the cold can be surprising, but after a few pats with the sponge, you will quickly notice the benefits of the cold.
The skin appears awakened and plumped up. Note to be careful where you place your sponge in the fridge (preferably in a sterile place) so as not to apply bacteria to your skin. This could create an opposite effect and cause skin reactions.
