According to Swedavia, a suspicious object must have been found on board an aircraft.
– The information I have is scarce, it concerns an SAS plane going to Copenhagen. The police are on the scene and handling the matter, they say Peter Werring, press officer at Swedavia to The Express.
Travelers should receive more information at 9 p.m. The plane was actually supposed to take off at 19.10, according to Swedavia’s website.
The aircraft has been evacuated
On the police’s website, they state that the aircraft has been evacuated:
“A suspected dangerous object has been found on an airplane at Arlanda. Personnel on board made the decision to evacuate the plane. Police are on site and investigating the object and there is a cordon around the plane. At the moment, there is no criminal classification,” the police write via their website.
– We do not currently know exactly who found the object, says Nadia Norton at the Stockholm Police to The Express and continues:
– We are currently examining the object there, so I don’t have more than that. We cooperate with customs, they can help there.
