Jonna Sundling Got to take her third World Cup gold at the sprint distance, and she did this by driving over her Norwegian resistance. The clearest challenger to Sundling was the profile Kristine Stavås Skistad.

Stavås Skistad was, as I said, crushed by Sundling, but after all in second place. However, she was not satisfied with the final placement, and that confirmed her coach, Lage Sofienlundin an interview with Expressen.
-Right now it is throwing a water bottle in the wall-arg she is, I think. But we will probably land in that this was a good performance later.
Stavås Skistad could also emphasize her dissatisfaction:
– Obviously I’m disappointed. I went for gold but Sundling is super strong. It goes fast and I do what I can. That’s not enough. She was stronger today, so it was.

Someone who was involved in tamping the medals, but had to settle for a fourth place, was Maja Dahlqvist.
