Swedish skiing star Maja Dahlqvist, 30, told the Swedish media about her intentions to end her successful career for the World Championships in Falun.
Frida Karlsson25, announced in May his plans to retire after the 2027 World Championships in Falun. The 11-time medalist would be 27 years old at the time.

– I am five years older than him, so Falun 2027 will probably be my last competition.
According to the Swedish media, Dahlqvist’s friends and national team colleagues have agreed that the World Championships in Falun could be the last competition of his career.
– I think Frida will continue a little longer, but you never know about Frida. I hope that I will continue all the way to Falun myself and then I will be motivated enough. It would be the best ending to my career. Three seasons is the optimal goal for me, said Dahlqvist.
Dahlqvist is a 7-time prize medalist. The brightest medals of my career have come in the pair sprint of the World Championships. (World Championship gold 2019 and 2021)
The 2027 World Championships in Falun seem to be the last competition for many Swedish skiers. Also Calle Halfvarsson35, has said it’s his ultimate goal.
The next World Ski Championships will be held in Trondheim, Norway, from February 26 to March 9, 2025.
