Maja Dahlqvist before Östersund: “It’s clear that it’s frustrating”

The third World Cup weekend of the season begins tomorrow. On the starting line in Östersund stands Maja Dahlqvist, who had a tough start to the season, to say the least, and was eliminated in the qualifiers in the World Cup sprint in Ruka two weeks ago.

Afterwards, Dahlqvist said that her body had not been functioning as usual lately and that it was the worst she had ridden in several years. Before Saturday’s competition, the body is still not fully recovered.

– I still think that it feels like something is wrong in the body and that I want to find what it is so I can do something about it, says Dahlqvist to SVT Sport.

Dahlqvist has done several tests to rule out medical problems and so far they have not shown anything to be wrong.

– I find it very difficult to set any kind of expectation on myself. I just hope that it feels more normal, that I will recognize my body somehow.
