For his part, Mahamat Idriss Déby and the coalition For a United Chad, of which he is the candidate, made a show of force in the afternoon by bringing together several thousand people on the Place de la Nation, the largest square in Ndjamena placed under very high military protection.
The transitional president highlighted his record. “ I kept my commitments, ensured the continuity of the State and preserved peace », he said, before making a large number of promises: building schools and 7,000 kilometers of roads, health for all, diversifying the economy, investing in agriculture. And above all, 100% electricity throughout the country.
