It was in the match against Slovenia that Jim Gottfridsson drew a blue card, which is worse than a red card. This resulted in a suspension.
Magnus Wislander’s honest words
Magnus Wislander is an expert commentator on Radiosporten. In a broadcast, he commented on Jim Gottfridsson’s suspension, saying the following:
– It is a terribly heavy message. To line up in a decisive match against Croatia without Gottfridsson and maybe without Felix Claar is an incredible darkness but perhaps it is what is needed as a wake-up call for the Swedish squad.
