It has been a summer of anxiety. Society needs to take control and Sweden needs to stick together. That’s the opening of Magdalena Andersson’s summer speech from Folkets hus in Olofström.
– The concerns and the underlying causes create a need for more societal control – for order and order. And that requires more from politics.
“It’s very unswedish”
Andersson talks about a green technology shift where a combination of social democratic industrial policy and environmentalist climate policy has given Sweden the lead in the climate transition.
– But now the SD government chooses to tear off the Swedish leadership shirt. Increases Sweden’s emissions. Slaughtering climate and environmental policy and waging a culture war against new technology.
She believes that the government is reducing ambitions for industry, jobs and our prosperity. She calls that “unswedish”.
– It feels a bit like watching Fredrik Reinfeldt’s “the industry is basically gone” on repeat. And Kristersson was also a minister in Reinfeldt’s government, says Magdalena Andersson.
Busch has stopped waving the falu sausage
The climate issue continues to characterize Andersson’s speech before the strained economic situation takes over.
– This summer, hard-working parents have had to explain to their children that the money is simply not enough. That the long-awaited trip to Skara sommerland will not happen.
Magdalena Andersson questions how the “Sweden Democrats’ government” has acted in the economic crisis. If they have prioritized “ordinary people”. She answers herself with a no.
– Ulf Kristersson’s message is that “You just have to bite the bullet”. Johan Pehrson thinks it is too “… fat to be unemployed”. And Ebba Busch; she has stopped waving the falu sausage.
Presents news in the budget
Magdalena Andersson also comes out with a proposal for how the potential tax cut that was presented on Wednesday should be financed.
– We will propose a fair tax cut for ordinary people in our budget alternative. But we think that this should be financed by those with the highest incomes paying more in taxes and the companies that are currently making large profits precisely because of the crisis should contribute a little more, banks for example.
She points out that it is not common for the Social Democrats to propose tax cuts.
– But we are not in a normal situation either. Ten years of real wage increases have been erased and the situation looks set to get worse in the autumn, when ordinary households need financial relief.
Criticism of Jomshof’s statements
She also takes the opportunity to criticize Richard Jomsof’s statements on Twitter about the Prophet Muhammad and how it has been handled by the government.
– Instead of taking responsibility, Kristersson stands there – paralyzed by his own government background. And not only that, he continues to give the Sweden Democrats power and legitimizes them.
– One thing is crystal clear. Richard Jomshof must be immediately removed from his post as chairman of the Riksdag’s Justice Committee.
