(Finance) – The airport of Madrid-Barajas will be affected by an important plan strengthening. This was announced by the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sa’nchezwho spoke of a investment of 2.4 billion euros to handle 90 million passengers a year by 2031.
This is the largest investment in airport infrastructure in recent decades in Spain, which refers to strategic plan 2022 presented by Aena which manages the Madrid airport. In 2023, 60 million passengers passed through Barajas.
