The issue of immigrants in the USA continues to maintain its place on the agenda. A new decision was taken due to the immigrant buses coming to Washington, the capital of the USA, from Texas and Arizona. Accordingly, a “state of emergency” was declared in Washington. Here are the details…
EMERGENCY IN WASHINGTON
Migrant buses sent from the states of Texas and Arizona on the US-Mexico border were cited as the reason for the decision taken by Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser. Stating that they declared an “emergency” in the city for this reason, Bowser noted that they could establish a joint immigration services office with the Ministry of Homeland Security and provide financial support to incoming immigrants.
$10 MILLION BUDGET
Bowser, who published a statement to support incoming immigrants by creating a new Immigration Services Office, announced that they will allocate a budget of 10 million dollars. Texas Governor Greg Abbott stated that since April, more than 7,900 immigrants have been sent to Washington and about 1,700 to Arizona. In the US, the governors of Republican states send illegal immigrants from the Mexican border to Democratic states such as Washington DC and New York by buses. (UAV/AA)
