Madagascar the Sahofika hydroelectric power plant project finally revived

In Madagascar, this is a new step in the construction of the country’s largest hydroelectric power station. This week, the State officially announced its entry to the capital of the consortium responsible for piloting the project, located in Sahofika, in the center of the country, on the Onive river. A major turning point, after more than six years of accumulated delay. With 85 % of the population still deprived of access to electricity on the island, the construction of this power station could partially meet the country’s imperious needs in terms of energy.
