In the case of Le Pen’s case, the prosecutors want the prohibition of menstrual prohibition from the elections for 5 years, instead of waiting for the objections of the judicial authority and the appeal of the Paris Criminal Court and the appeal process.
Some French lawyers think that the decision of the Constitutional Court, which has recently been sentenced to a local politician without consuming the ways of appeal, thinks that the case can be applied for the years that the case is tried for embezzling EU funds.
He will not be a candidate for 2027
If the judges ruled the execution of the sentence without waiting for the conclusion of the appeal process based on the decision of the Constitutional Court, the extreme right -wing Le Pen will not compete in the 2027 Presidential elections.
On the other hand, some lawyers argue that the decision of the Constitutional Court may be limited to local authorities and cannot be applied to Le Pen’s case.
