macOS Sonoma 14.2 Developer Beta Released

macOS Sonoma 142 Developer Beta Released

The first macOS Sonoma 14.2 developer beta is now available for download. Developers participating in the testing program can access the latest version by visiting the Apple Developer Center or by updating Macs running the beta to the latest version. Public beta versions are generally available through the Apple Beta Software Program shortly after developer versions are released. The first beta follows the public release of macOS Sonoma 14.1 on October 25, 2023. This update largely included changes to the Music app and a new Coverage item in System Settings. The first build number was 23C5030f.

macOS Sonoma 14.2 came with new features

At this early stage of the release, it’s unclear what changes Apple is bringing to the beta. Close inspection by beta testers shows that new features will appear within a few hours of launch. AppleInsider and Apple strongly recommend that users install beta operating systems or other beta software on mission-critical or primary devices. Testers should instead use secondary or non-essential hardware and ensure they always have adequate backups of their critical data.
