Farmer is looking for a wife is a real long-running hit on TV. The RTL dating show started its 20th season (!) a few weeks ago and is still really successful. At the start of the season, a young couple is already considered the next dream couple. But in episode 3 the romance takes a hit: A confession causes the farmer to have a long face.
They are a real dream couple: the young farmer and the student start flirting straight away
Normally the farmers at Bauer sucht Frau are no longer completely fresh. Since this year there has finally been a welcome change: younger candidates also have a chance at the show. (You can read why the change was sorely needed here.) One of these youngsters is dairy farmer Yannik. The 22-year-old is looking for a woman on the show with whom he can soon start a family.
He found a potential candidate in student Michelle (25). There was already a huge spark between the two at the barn party. No wonder, because the red-haired cheerful nature has something that is extremely important to young farmer Yannik: Confidence and… curls. Yannik really likes the student’s wild mane, as he repeatedly emphasizes.
So it’s no surprise that the two of them go straight to flirting during their farm week together. Michelle in particular doesn’t hold back and shows that she finds the blonde farmer really attractive. When she tries out lying in Yannik’s bed, she makes it clear that she would like to spend time here as a couple.

In episode 3, Michelle finally gets to know Yannik’s family. After the two of them spent the first time flirting on the farm, things became less romantic in front of the relatives. Yannik’s grandma puts Michelle through her paces and puts her talents as a housewife to the test. The older woman bluntly asks if Michelle can cook.
What no one expects: Michelle is wonderfully open and admits that she is not a passionate cook: “I don’t like cooking. Not with enthusiasm, but because I have to.” You can tell that this answer isn’t exactly well received by the farming family from the Swabian Alb.
Macho touches at Bauer sucht Frau: Michelle counters against Yannik
Farmer Yannik also has to process this information first. His surprise becomes clear in the individual interview: “I actually thought that Michelle could cook. More than me at least…”is his conclusion. Curious: He admits that he can only cook scrambled eggs with bacon. Despite her lack of cooking skills, Michelle is not off the table: “You can still learn.”
The tough Michelle immediately shatters the dream of being a housewife. She doesn’t see herself as responsible for feeding Yannik: “Either Yannik has to keep eating at Grandma’s or he has to eat his scrambled eggs with bacon – or I’ll teach him a little.” This tough announcement worked!
