Ross Young, one of the most important sources when it comes to display technologies, said the following about this development from the X account: quoted: “The latest MacBook Pros (M4) use Quantum Dot (QD) film instead of red KSF phosphor film. “In the past, Apple preferred the KSF solution for its better efficiency and lack of cadmium (Cd), but the latest Cd-free QD films are very efficient and offer better color gamut and motion performance.”
