Mac mini M2 MacBook Pro M2 Pro M2 Max: Apple boosts its Macs

Mac mini M2 MacBook Pro M2 Pro M2 Max Apple

To everyone’s surprise, and almost on the sly, Apple announces the release of new Mac models equipped with powerful M2 chips. More surprisingly, the Mac mini M2 is cheaper than the old M1. A good sign for the future?

New habit or sign of the times? For the second time in the space of a few months, it is in the greatest discretion that Apple launches new products without fanfare, without a Hollywood keynote, just via simple press releases, like any manufacturer. However, the announcement that fell on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 shortly after 3:00 p.m. is not insignificant: it is not a new “trendy” iPhone color or a gadget as luxurious as it is essential to fans of the apple firm. No, this time it’s about the very heart of the Apple line: namely, new processors and new Macs! More specifically, new Mac mini and MacBook Pro equipped with various versions of M2 chips, and which, in fact, promise much higher performance than current models. And if this unexpected salvo is accompanied by a logical increase in prices – we are starting to get used to it with Apple… –, it also contains its small and very pleasant surprise: the new entry-level Mac mini, with its powerful M2 chip is displayed at 100 euros less than the Mac mini in M1, or 699 euros against 799 euros. And no, it’s not April! The year 2023 is off to a very strong start at Apple…
