On site in Södertälje, M leader Ulf Kristersson and the party’s legal policy spokesperson Johan Forssell presented several measures which, according to them, will make life more difficult for gang criminals.
— We have looked a lot at Denmark. Their police describe themselves that the number of gang criminal actors has fallen sharply, says Johan Forssell about the proposals.
One concerns the police setting up “local operational units” in particularly vulnerable areas and risk areas. Their mission will be to seize the gang criminals’ assets. Whoever is a gang criminal must be able to prove that his possessions have been obtained legally, otherwise they must be able to be confiscated.
— This is about taking the gang’s money. Life as a gang criminal must be so terribly complicated, says Ulf Kristersson.
M also proposes that anyone who can be linked to organized crime should also be able to be evicted from their home.
“It is simply not a human right to use your apartment as a base for illegal activities,” says Johan Forssell.
If someone chooses to commit a crime in a gang environment, the party also wants to introduce a total freeze on contributions to that person.
“Anyone who chooses to commit crimes within organized crime should not be financed by tax money,” says Forssell.
