M intern investigates Muf – after the revelation of vote coup

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The moderates are calling for an internal investigation into what happened in MUF, after TV4 Nyheterna’s revelations about attempts to buy votes and offers of paid trips in exchange for votes. For several weeks, the chairman of the Moderate Youth Association, Douglas Thor, has refused proposals for an audit from, among others, the MUF’s association board and district chairman. But after meetings yesterday with the Moderate party secretary Karin Enström, Douglas Thor is now running over. An internal review must be appointed to find out what happened in the youth association. Secret chat TV4 Nyheterna has been reporting for several days about how MUF’s chairman Douglas Thor was caught in a secret chat, where he tried to poke the district chairman in Jämtland. In the chat, Douglas Thor wants to get as many members as possible into MUF Jämtland and gives orders to helpers to pay the membership fees for new members. Two people have also stated that they were offered a free trip to Östersund, in exchange for their votes. Regrets Douglas Thor wrote late last night on his Facebook page. “I have made a mistake. I regret how I expressed myself and wrote. We must ensure that there are no loose ends. According to our procedures, we must turn to the party in matters like this. That is why we have done so.” TV4 Nyheterna has sought Douglas Thor. It is unclear when the Moderate Party’s internal review of its youth association will be completed.
