Brant OPP are investigating a case of identity theft and fraud related to the purchase of a luxury SUV.
The victim – a County of Brant resident – called police March 27, 2023, after being contacted by a financial institution regarding an account they had not opened.
Police determined that an unknown suspect used falsified documents to purchase a luxury SUV in December 2022.
Toronto Police recovered the vehicle within their jurisdiction in April 2023.
Police have released a photograph of a person of interest.
