Wijk bij Duurstede – The Lunenburgerwaard nature reserve in Utrecht has improved considerably in recent months. Thanks to a package of measures, the area now meets the requirements of the European Network of Protected Areas. To comply with this, river wood has been installed, the riparian forest has been expanded and a lake and swamp area has been created.
