On Tuesday, the admission notices came for Sweden’s students and this year fewer students are expected to start in Lund than last year.
– We have hopes of having 750 student housing ready for new students who come here this autumn, says Henrik Krantz, CEO of AF-bostäder.
Although Henrik Krantz says that everyone has the same opportunity to find accommodation with them, Salah elden Omer, an international student from Sudan, has not been able to find a place to live for a year.
In October, he joined the queue and since then he has booked five homes but received nothing.
– It’s because others have a better queue than me and a different budget, says Salah elden Omer.
