It was Ella Ekholm and Lukas Söderholm who had to leave Idol in the sixth Saturday final. Something that surprised both the jury members and several viewers.
– It feels hard, I didn’t feel quite ready. It is an honor to be able to do this with Lollo and to be able to stand in front of everyone here, and for all your applause, says Lukas Söderholm in the program.
When TV4 Nyheterna talks to Söderholm, he says that he feels grateful for how far he came in his Idol journey.
– I see this as a beginning and not an end. I was shocked, but it feels good, he says.
Bagge: Had one of the best performances of the evening
During the evening, technical problems meant that it was not possible to vote for the idols’ performances in the app or on TV4 Play, it was only possible to vote by SMS or phone call.
– I can imagine that many people vote for free. But that really applies to all idols, all our votes probably disappeared, says Lukas Söderholm.
Both Pär Lernström and the jury members expressed surprise that Lukas Söderholm had to leave the program.
– He was by no means finished, he gave one of the best performances of the evening, says Anders Bagge afterwards.
Several of the idols also had difficulty holding back tears in the green room.
– This was completely insane. Both Lukas and Ella are the most amazing people, I don’t understand anything, says participant Minou Nilsson.
Ella: Feels perfectly fine
Lukas Söderholm was pitted against Victoria Grace Larsson, and Ella Ekholm pitted against Minou Nilsson.
Ella Ekholm says that it feels “perfectly okay” to leave the program.
– It was probably a little expected. I had a blast and I’m so glad I made it this far, I never thought I would. To reach the top eight is fantastic, says Ella Ekholm.
