Werder Bremen got the ball past Lukas Hradecky in extra time. Thus, Leverkusen suffered a point loss again.

The machine of Leverkusen, the reigning champion of the soccer Bundesliga, has coughed up at the beginning of the season. The Finnish national team’s number one goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky skipper Leverkusen already suffered their third loss of points in the last five matches.

This time the draw was caused by Werder Bremen and in a rather bitter way. Romano Schmidt got the ball behind Hradecky in extra time and tied the final numbers 2–2.

Leverkusen has won four of the first eight games of the season. There are three draws and one loss. Leverkusen is third in the Bundesliga, five points behind RB Leipzig.

Worst rival Bayern Munich is two points ahead of Leverkusen. Bayern will play their eighth match on Sunday against league jumbo Bochum.
