(Finance) – The first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner of Lufthansarenamed Berlin and entered service on October 19 between Frankfurt and Munich, it will debut the next December 1 en route to New York (Newark).
The three rotations per day between the two German hubs will be used to complete crew training. By the end of 2002 Lufthansa will receive other five B787-9 out of a total of 32 ordered.
The new aircraft has 294 seats (26 in Business, 21 in Premium and 247 in Economy), 49 more than the A330-300.
