German aviation giant Lufthansa managed to turn a profit in 2022 after two years of red numbers. For the full year, the company reports a net profit of 791 million euros, which can be compared with the loss of 2.2 billion euros in 2021 and 6.7 billion euros in 2020 when the pandemic broke out.

Before the summer season, however, the company warns of new bottleneck problems similar to those that occurred last summer in the aviation industry. Lufthansa has therefore launched a campaign to recruit 20,000 new employees, including pilots and technicians.
