Luffar-Lasse in spin – paws towards a new collection record

Close to two million kroner. That’s how much money the orange-spotted celebrity cat from Björndalen in Trollhättan, Luffar-Lasse, collected for Musikhjälpen 2023. The collection was started by Patrik Starborg, who was one of the members of Luffar-Lasse’s Facebook group.

This year, the success continues and the hunt for new fundraising records continues. At the time of writing, Luffar-Lasse is in an honorable sixth place on Musikhjälpen’s top list over those who collect money. But Ms. Elin Karlsson is not worried.

– He will break the record and get over two million this year and he feels very calm and safe, she says.

This is clear when Luffar-Lasse spins into SVT Nyheter Väst’s microphone during the interview.

Safe and easy

Elin Karlsson firmly refutes that the hype surrounding the celebrity cat is over.

– The interest in Lasse and the hype around him just grows and grows. There are a lot of horrible things happening in the world right now and that is what we often see in the media. We need something safe and simple – and that is Lasse, says Elin Karlsson.

You can follow how things are going for Luffar-Lasse and aunt Elin until the end of Musikhjälpen on Sunday top list.
