Luffar-Lasse will be the star of SVT’s new venture

Nyheter24 has previously written about Luffar-Lasse’s success in Musikhjälpen. The owner Elin Karlsson created a gun in Luffar-Lasse’s name, which collected over 2 million kroner.

Since then, Lasse has also received his own traffic signs that point out his daily walking route.

Now it’s time for Luffar-Lasses’ next step in the public eye. Namely, SVT will produce the TV program “A weekend with Luffar-Lasse” about the cat.

In an Instagram post, they describe the set-up of the series:

“Slow TV, seven hours a day Saturday and Sunday. With four cameras we will be able to keep up with everything that Lasse does from his perspective.”

The owner about Luffar-Lasse: “So famous”

Nyheter24 has spoken with Lasse’s owner, Elin Karlsson, who originally created Lasse’s Facebook group to know where Lasse is during the day.

Now she receives both updates on what the cat is doing, but also lots of loving comments on a daily basis.

She tells Nyheter24 that it was SVT that contacted her about turning Lasse’s life into a program.

– SVT got in touch after they noticed how much interest there is in Lasse and how much love so many have for him, says Elin Karlsson.

She feels happy to be able to show off Lasse’s unique way, and she thinks it feels fantastic that he spreads so much joy.

– It feels absolutely incredible that Lasse has become so famous. I didn’t think that by first just getting a Facebook group to inform that Lasse is in Överby would create this.
