Ludvig Åberg was responsible for a success in “the fifth major”, The Players Championship. During the final round, the Swede had another round of 67 strokes, five under par, and finished eighth.
He opened the event with a round of five under par, and he finished the same way.
Ludvig Åberg started the day tied for twelfth, which alone is a very good placing in his premiere of The Players Championship, which is the most prestigious competition without major status.
But during Sunday, the Swede continued to play really good golf, and climbed further.

Åberg started the round with two birdies on the first three holes, but then followed a series of pars before the 25-year-old hit one of the best shots of the day.
On the eleventh hole, the Swede hit a two-meter putt for eagle from 213 meters. A putt which he then sunk.
Åberg finished the round five under par, which takes him to a total score of 14 under par and means eighth place.
Vann made the world number one Scottie Scheffler at 20 under par. He won the competition for the second consecutive year, which no other player has done before.
