Ludvig Åberg’s new giant show – the super shot just makes the entire golf world stand up and applaud: “Dirty good!”

Ludvig Åberg does his first competition after the monster success in the Masters.
And he continues to convince.
On Thursday, he excelled on the PGA Tour – with a shot that had the golf world standing up and applauding.

Ludvig Åberg is the big talk of the golf world right now. He turned pro as recently as this summer, but the 24-year-old Swede has taken absolutely enormous steps, and has made an almost improbable journey. Last autumn he helped win the Ryder Cup with Team Europe – without having played a single major competition.

Big success right away

And last week, the long-awaited major debut finally arrived, and he shattered all expectations. At the hugely difficult and fabled Augusta National. Åberg was the only runner-up in the competition and was the only one who was even close to threatening the supreme world number one Scottie Scheffler.

Åberg also collected a whopping 24 million kroner in prize money, but it wasn’t long before he got to enjoy the effort. Already on Thursday, he struck out again, for the classic RBC Heritage in Harbor Town on the PGA tour. Åberg had the honor of playing in the same ball as superstar Rory McIlroy, who has long been an idol for Åberg in particular. And the Swede showed once again that the success in the Masters was no accident.

The battle everyone loves

Åberg ended up going 66 strokes, five under par, and with that is tied for fourth, just three strokes behind the leading American JT Poston. There were plenty of highlights during Åberg’s round, and he offered, among other things, a fabulous eagle that made the entire golf world stand up and applaud. On the fifth hole, Åberg had a second shot of just over 250 meters, and he then pulled up a two-iron that landed perfectly, and laid perfectly on the green.

Åberg also made the subsequent putt, and thus climbed significantly on the leaderboard. Åberg’s shot was further proof of what a fantastic iron game he possesses, and Åberg, who has become many people’s new favorite player after his success in the Masters, received great praise on social media afterwards.

“This is the best golf swing ever. Wow”‚ writes one person.

“This young man will be good for a very long time,” writes another.

“Dirty good,” writes a third.
