Biologist Luc Hoogenstein is on safari in Amersfoort, in the garden of Alida Pelgrim. Luc: “Try sticking an upside-down umbrella or an empty pizza box between the ivy and shaking it. Just look at what can end up in there: running spiders, harvestmen, caterpillars, beetles and there is a good chance of that special insect, the ivy beetle cicada.”
