860 matches have been played since May 1. Of those who participate in class soccer, sixty percent of the children are not otherwise active in the sport.
– It’s fun that you do something fun together with your class and that girls and boys play together, says Ulf Björkman.
Ulf Björkman has been involved in class football for the past twenty-three years. About 150 teams participated then, and since then it has only increased, he says
– This class soccer thing is so much fun. I hear cheers from the stands and of course everyone wants to win, but it’s mostly just joy, he says.
Skattkärrsskolan versus Kroppkärrsskolan
During Saturday, Ellen Persson played two matches with her team, grade four at Skattkärrskolan. After the match against Kroppkärr, she talks about the strength of her team.
– We have quite good players and a very good goalkeeper, she says.
Her teammate Klara Asker agrees:
– We were lucky, good players and a superb goalkeeper.
