Luciano Axelsson opens up about his burnout

He was out on tour with “Diggiloo”.
But the burnout and the mother’s brain hemorrhage stopped the dance band star Luciano Axelsson.
I threw up outside, gave everything, had to go back in, drink water and continue delivering, he says in Nyhetsmorgon.

“Lucianoz” broke through with a bang. With songs like “Simsalabim” and “Inget stoppar oss nu”, dance band star Luciano Axelsson has reached out widely and been loved.

Now, for the first time, he wants to talk about his burnout and his mother’s brain hemorrhage, which affected him greatly.

– My mother fell ill and had a brain haemorrhage while she was sleeping. It was very tough for me during that time. I was very shocked and nervous. It took a heavy toll on me at the same time as I was burnt out as I had driven so much, he says in Nyhetsmorgon.

Skipped “Diggiloo”

He was out touring with the popular “Diggiloo” when everything happened and he had to drop out.

– You do what you can and you think about your health, it is most important. I thank everyone out there who believes in me, my fans and everyone who came when I couldn’t be there. I couldn’t be at all the shows because I was so burnt out. I threw up outside, gave it my all, had to go back in, drink water and continue delivering. I did everything I could. I just want to say: all the love to the people out there and to everyone in “Diggiloo”, I’ve had nice people around me, says Luciano Axelsson.

All this affected him very much as he wanted to spend a lot of time with his mother in the hospital. But while doing so, he needed to deliver on stages with multiple performances in a short amount of time.

– It was a severe brain haemorrhage. I was very worried but at the same time knew that I had to deliver. There was a big Christmas gala at the same time so it was just a matter of delivering and looking happy. It’s lucky that you still love what you do. But it was a tough seat back then, he says.

Pray to God every day

Today, he tries to prioritize rest and has come back as a stronger person after the burnout. His mother is fine and a new song is on the way.

– Everything has been like a shock to me. It has been a lot to take in and put all the pieces of the puzzle together and think about what you have been involved in, he says.

He has spent a lot of time with the family but also went to the spa where he was able to relax.

– I thank God every day and pray for her (his mother ed. note), says Luciano Axelsson.
