Lucas Raymond’s goal drought is over

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

With the win against Columbus, Detroit broke a dismal three-game losing streak. Likewise, the goal drought suffered by Lucas Raymond since November 10 was broken.

Two of Detroit’s four total goals on the night came on the power play. And Lucas Raymond was responsible for one of them, which means that he has scored a total of seven goals this season.

Detroit lovebombs the only 20-year-old Swede on his Twitter account after the goal and the victory. “Everybody loves Raymond, right?” writes the team. They fill in with the somewhat complicated statistic that only three players in Detroit who were 20 years old or younger have scored more match-deciding goals than the former Frölunda player

Another Swede also accounted for a goal in the match. Columbus’ Marcus Björk scored the first of the team’s two goals, which was his second of the season.
