Lucas Mazur is a Paralympic badminton champion, but also a football fan.
Paralympic champion in singles in 2021, Lucas Mazur entered the legend of French para badminton by becoming the first Frenchman to medal in the discipline. Victim of a stroke at the age of three, Lucas Mazur participates in international competitions in SL4 classification due to an ankle malformation caused by this stroke. He is also a silver medalist in Tokyo in mixed doubles, partnered with Faustine Noël.
Passionate about sports, Lucas Mazur played many sports as a child, including football and rugby. “I always thought about sport,” he explains. “Since I was little, I was convinced that I would be an athlete, but I thought I would end up a footballer!” The Paralympic para badminton champion finally turned 100% to shuttlecocks rather than balls, but continues to play different sports, including golf. Football is still present in his life, and Lucas Mazur regularly follows the results of the Toulouse Football Club.
