Two heavy liberals have resigned on Monday.
First, Minister of Gender Equality Paulina Brandberg, then party secretary Jakob Olofsgård.
According to information to TV4 News, the Chancellor Oscar Wåglund Söderström has also announced his departure.
For TT, Paulina Brandberg (L) stated that she resigns from her ministerial post to get more time with her family.
– Being a government minister comes with a very high price, says Brandberg.
Shortly after, the next message came from the Liberals – Party Secretary Jakob Olofsgård ends and instead wants to focus on substantive politics. It emerged in a message he writes the party board that DN took note of.
In an internal e -mail that TV4 News has taken part in, Olofsgård tells about his departure.
“Now the term of office is entering a new phase, with an electoral movement around the corner. An extensive work awaits, as a new party secretary should be given good opportunities to plan and organize with you. Therefore, I have chosen to leave the post now, well in advance of the election,” he writes.
Tasks: The Chancellor ends
Now the Liberals Chancellor Oscar Wåglund Söderström is also leaving his post, there are several sources for TV4 News.
“There are three heavy liberals who are now leaving their jobs, of course it is heavy dropout for the party,” says Per Hermanrud, political commentator on TV4 News.
The decision must have been announced internally in the party last week, according to the information.
– It is clear that you are surprised when it becomes known the same day that three so profiled liberals leave. It will be a tough task in a short time to replace these people and it is starting to be quite in a hurry before the election movement in 2026, says Per Hermanrud.
TV4 News has sought the Liberals and Oscar Wåglund Söderström, who did not comment on the information.
